Herbal Biotic

This supplement is unlike others I've taken. It combines a number of herbs that might have anti-inflammatory and antiviral properties, along with some plant sterols, some monolaurin, a relaxing herb (skullcap), some oregano, and a rather unexpected component: clove. (You can actually smell the clove when you take the supplement.)The capsules also contain some other herbs I've never taken before, such as houttuynia cordata and isatis tinctoria. If you read about them, they have a long history of potential health benefits.The manufacturer's recommended dosage is up to three capsules per day, if I'm reading correctly. I take only one, which is a good thing, because the skullcap in each capsule could otherwise make you a bit drowsy. For that reason, I recommend that you take this supplement at night, especially if you take more than one capsule. The amount of skullcap in a single capsule is approximately 33mg. The bottle contains 120 capsules in all.For now, I'm taking one capsule per day as a preventative measure, and if I happen to feel like I'm getting a cold or cough, I'll increase the dose. For now, I love the herbal smell with the clove overtones.

No.Then, on arrival there are a few more criteria I use to decide if I am comfortable ingesting the supplement.Are the outer neckband and inner seal intact? Yes.Is the expiration date far enough out for me to use them before they begin to deteriorate? There is no expiration/best buy date on the package. This bottle, purchased in December 2023, was manufactured in February 2023. It is 10 months old already.Does the supplement look as expected? Yes.Other notes:Given the extracts and essential oils included in this supplement, I have to stress that this should be taken only under the direction of a qualified professional. While these do have recognized health benefits and are being studied in small trials, some of them come with notable risks of damage to the kidneys or liver.I appreciate that it comes in an amber glass jar to help prevent deterioration. The jar was packaged in a sturdy cardboard box (not just a wrapper), to keep it safe during transport.

Helped me get passed this last bout of whatever was going around. If you’re familiar with oregano oil you know how powerful it is and these capsules definitely contain it, you can smell it when you open the bottle the oregano oil alone will take care of just about anything. Add in all the other herbs like cats claw, the clove bud oil and you have a very powerful wide spectrum herbal biotic. This stuff is no joke and I would highly recommend! Has a nice blend of immune supporting ingredients including cat claw, which is something I haven't had in a supplement yet. It also seems to have several traditional Chinese medicinal ingredients which is also unique for me. The pills are decently sized and easy to take, and these ingredients look really interesting in helping your immune system out, which mine needs.

This herbal product is said to promote the immune system. It’s hard to quantify those results I don’t feel any difference after a week.The capsules are on the larger side. They smell woodsy and have an astringent taste which makes them a little difficult to swallow. Check with your doctor to avoid medicine interactions before starting any herbal supplements.

The original formula was much better. Kept me functioning. The description on this page doesn’t even match the bottle and the bottle doesn’t match the product you receive in terms of potency. Regardless there is no longer isatis and also the black walnut addition really makes it intolerable and causes wicked bad psych symptoms and insomnia. Problem is I cannot function without it but I go insane and can’t sleep with it. I need the old formula back. I cannot find the cats claw in this quality and potency anywhere else, am in grad school. And this change is making life impossible. I also messaged asking about changes and sourcing to stay stable and received no reply. The cryptolepis products are fantastic but I need to function and the original formula did that for me.

I have been using this product for a while now and it seems to work good for me and I haven’t had any side effects from it. It’s a lot easier on my digestive tract than prescription antibiotics.

This product comes well packaged, in a box with a safety seal around the cap and an inner seal under the cap. The bottle is thick glass and it’s a rather large bottle. It has a distinct smell, similar to oregano, which makes sense considering the ingredients.The serving size is 3 capsules, which I am not a fan of, but it would be worse if it was two, larger “horse pill” sized capsules. You get 120 pills, but it only covers 40 servings.Read the label carefully and consult with a doc on this one due to ingredients. Not sure if the juice is worth the squeeze on this as it is a bit pricey and I can’t confirm that it does/does not add to immunity.

Took the full supply and didn't notice anything different during or afterwards. The capsules tasted nice and were easy to take.The bottle I received is glass and makes a nice sealed container for other things.

In todays world with so many strange deceases popping up at any moment it is extreme important to look for protection wherever you can get it. This supplement is an answer to this problem. Although I am not a chemist nor do I have knowledge about pharmaceuticals but a quick internet search of some of the ingredients revealed a very positive result. We feel that we added an additional layer of protection against health threats and until now we have had no incidences. We'll keep going.

If you have to take 3 capsules a day they should at least be medium to small. These are large and the thought of taking another and another just makes me want to give up trying no matter how beneficial they might be. The most beneficial capsule in the world means nothing if you can't take it.The bottle is a nice amber glass jar rather than a white plastic bottle as seen in the listing picture. It's good that it's the better option between the two, but why is there a different bottle in the listing?

I have been looking for a good cats claw supplement for a while, so this definitely comes in handy. I feel like my immune system is more responsive, and even my digestion improved from the probiotics. The potency is pretty solid and they are good value for the money. They don't taste bad and there isn't much aftertaste.

These capsules smell very strong when you open the bottle. It's not a bad smell, just overpowering. It is herbaceous and spicy, sort of what you'd expect in an organic section of the grocery store. There is a slight taste that matches with the fragrance when taking these. As someone who needs regular probiotics due to digestive surgeries, these do what they should do. I did notice I fell asleep faster when I took them, but I was exhausted so it's hard to give these full credit. One important thing to note is that a serving size is 3 capsules. There are 40 servings in each bottle, rather than 120 as you may expect. The capsules are relatively large as well and may be difficult if you struggle taking pills. However, this is a wonderful supplement that I will purchase again in the future.

This is a high quality supplement that has potent ingredients, so ensure you follow the directions on how to take so you get the beneficial results intended. I have been taking this for a few days and noticed my stomach seems to have settled down and is doing much better, so I figure it is working well. Will continue to use this.

My doctor recommended I take skullcap and cats claw so I was happy to find them combined in one pill, with that being said upon opening the bottle the smell really caught my attention. It has a very very strong smell, some say pleasant but I have a very strong sense of smell and these are not at all pleasant to me also I have a terrible time swallowing these, the taste is terrible and it leaves an aftertaste in my mouth for hours after I swallow them. They have an inner and outer seal so you can feel confident they haven’t been tampered with.I have not had any bad after effects so far but have only been taking these for a week. I will update after I have taken these for a month and hopefully I will have some good results to report.

The recommended serving size is 3 and there are 120 capsules so this amounts to a 40 day supply. The capsules are somewhat large but still easy to swallow. I did notice there is no GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) certification on the bottle. Overall however I found it to be a product of good quality.

The dominant smell from these capsules is clove and oregano. It’s not noticeable when you consume them if you just swallow them up, but wow it’s strong when you open the bottle. Potent stuff. So far my microbiome is reacting favorably to the influx of clove.

The product contains Cats Claw (2 types), Isatis, Houttuynia cordata and Skullcap in extract form, combined with Monolaurin (a monoglyceride), Oregano Essential Oil and Clove Bud Essential Oil.My internet research on the ingredients indicates that some of the ingredients are used in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Traditional Indian (Ayurvedic) Medicine, and by indigenous peoples of South America. Some scientific sources, such as the US National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health, state to be careful using Cat's Claw and that it might overactivate your immune system. I also found information that at least one of the ingredients could affect metabolism of pharmaceuticals, so if you are taking any prescriptions, check with your medical doctor before using this product. I also saw that some ingredients cause unpleasant effects in some people (headache and dizziness, as examples).Along those lines, I am not very familiar with the ingredients in this product and think the marketing materials should provide some of the cautions and contraindications that I mentioned above. It may be most appropriate to use this product under the care of a Naturopathic or Integrative Medical Doctor.
